Stone Harbor

The island known as Seven Mile Beach (which it shares with Avalon, NJ) contains 2,725 acres and is seven miles in length but only three or four city blocks in width, with the Inland Waterway to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Stone Harbor occupies the southern half of the island extending from 80th Street to Hereford Inlet.

The first known purchase price for the island was about $380.00 in 1722. Today Stone Harbor contains more then 3,000 properties with total ratables of more than $800,000,000.

Stone Harbor, distinguished by quaint shops and restaurants, is a hub of activity all day long, all season long. A short walk away, our beautiful sloping beaches stretch the length of the island. The close proximity of beach and town allows our visitors to stroll from the sand and water to ice cream parlors and gift shops in a casual, relaxed seashore atmosphere.

Dotting the island are recreational areas for informal sports activities of all kinds... tennis, volleyball, soccer, baseball, football, basketball, paddleball, miniature golf and playgrounds. Several quality golf courses, while not on the island, are easily reached from Stone Harbor!

Water activities abound in scenic Stone Harbor. Luxurious pleasure boats, chartered fishing vessels, skiffs and ocean going excursion boats all tie up to our outstanding boating facilities. From breath-taking sunrise to unsurpassed sunset, enjoy all that Stone Harbor has to offer.
